The famous Huahine vanilla is considered as one of the best vanilla in Polynesia, with very balanced aromas and fragrances. Cultivated for at least 150 years and harvested at full maturity, like its sisters, it is distinguished by perfectly controlled refining. Cooked, its fatty acids release their powerful aromas which enhance your dishes and desserts with notes of caramel, prune, ripe fruit and anise which are specific to Huahine vanilla. As one of the most gourmet vanilla, its pods are fleshy, thick and oily pods with a glossy dark brown colour. Their size vary between 14 to 20 cm and average weight is about 7g. Gold Medal in 2020 at the Concours Général Agricole in Paris International Agricultural Show, it is one of the most singular vanilla by its unique aroma highly recommended for gourmets. Although the beans are more expensive they are nevertheless more economical to use (one Tahitensis pod represent the equivalent of two Planifolia pods). 

 

Beans measure +- 19 cm for an average weight of 7g. A kilo is about 143 beans.

      One of our Favorites among the Tahitensis Vanilla Specie

      La réputation des vanilles Tahitensis de Polynésie n'est plus à faire et la sous-espèce Tahiti de Huahine en fait partie. Sans doute les plus aromatiques et parmi les profiles les plus complexes, c'est la vanille de référence pour absolument toutes les recettes, chaudes et froides, sucrées et salées, depuis l'entrée jusqu'au dessert, en caviar, et en extrait
