Vanilla vines naturally grow in Sylves, dense tropical rainforests, climbing up all sorts of existing trees. Its growth environment is referred to as its terroir, and includes not only the adjacent plants, but also the climate, the geography and local geology and its entire ecosystem and biodiversity. This is where Sylvanilla® name comes from. By cultivating vanilla vines in agro -forestry, the local communities, living in tropical forests and part of these ecosystems, thrive to generate a sustainable revenue in a circular economy while protecting existing biodiversity.
