Cultivated in a reasoned way in French Polynesia, the Tahitensis Haapape vanilla species are harvested mature on the vines, washed and dried, before they are put in the sun for a few hours every day for at least 5 months. The pods are then massaged, calibrated and refined with great expertise. That's why Tahitensis vanilla species from Polynesia are so renowned for their exceptional aromas and unique flavors, distinguishing them from the more commonly known Vanilla planifolia variety.

 

Bora-Bora Tahitensis Haapape vanilla beans releases the accents of a rich tropical volcanic soil with sweet aromas of prunes and liquorice mingling to chocolate and caramel notes, and possess a distinctiveness that stems from the specific conditions of their terroir, characterized by its volcanic soil and warm tropical climate, playing a vital role in shaping the flavors and fragrances of this Tahitensis vanilla beans. The volcanic soil provides essential nutrients and imparts a subtle mineral undertone to the beans. The proximity to the sea also create a microclimate that infuses the vanilla beans with a unique coastal influence. In terms of flavors, Tahitensis Haapape vanilla beans from Bora Bora offer a well-rounded taste with hints of caramel, chocolate, ripe fruits and even floral undertones. Their complex flavor profile which can vary from batch to batch, reflects the nuances of the terroir and the specific conditions of the growing season.
