Uganda is an ideal location for vanilla production as one of the very few regions with two distinct dry seasons per year providing extremely fresh vanilla all year round. The pods have been refined traditionally and bonifying with age. They already develop strong cocoa aromas, riped fruits flavor with subtle tannins and light earthy notes, which perfectly fit with red and white meats as well as seafood, and of course desserts, cream, and extract.
Indicative pod length: 14–22cm; as a natural product, pod length, width and individual weight may vary from pod to pod; the stated quantity corresponds to the exact number of pods in the lot sold; the exact net weight is stated separately when packed and invoiced. A kilo is about 220 beans.
