The Vanilla Chamissonis, a unique and very singular vanilla specie, a collector and one of the largest vanilla pod, rarest and most massive vanilla beans ever seen in Brazil Cerrado Atlantic Rainforest (Mata Atlântica) on the East coast. Fleshy and oily, with notes of ripe fruits, anis and maraschino, very pronounced liquorice, coumarin, tonka bean notes, almond and orgeat aromas with light floral undertones in the background. These specie is so rare, it's another precious gift of the nature and few farmers only will spot it in the wild and sometimes cultivate it under the canopy of the atlantic ocean tropical forest. It's a limited production too, for truly exceptionals creations.
 
Currently those are the last Chamissonis Vanilla pods from Brazil still available. They need nothing less than 2 years to mature and another 2 years to cure. That's why you will see it mostly every 4 years only. As we wish to encourage more vanilla farmers to cultivate this endemic vanilla specie we increase the value of the only pods available still, also to discourage resellers speculation depriving farmers of their essential income. The farmers can sell their vanilla directly to professional and private end-users and fully benefit from the added value they bring to the vanilla market with this endemic and rare vanilla specie.
 
Indicative pod length: 16–20 cm; +-50gr. ; as a natural product, pod length, width and individual weight may vary from pod to pod; the stated quantity corresponds to the exact number of pods in the lot sold; the exact net weight is stated separately when packed and invoiced. A kilo is about 20 beans. 2 pods maximum allowed per order.
